Entre urdimbres y tramas

«Entre urdimbres y tramas» is the first solo exhibition of the Argentine artist Cristina Ghetti in Paris. She presents a new series of paintings on linen, which is in continuity with her geometric work and a tribute to textile art and its intrinsic structures, influenced by great Latin American woman abstract artists. Her work very free and multidisciplinary in the associated techniques, without any gestuality, brings disturbing elements and disruptive, thus generating a movement-rhythm. The weaving technique between the warp (warp), as the first threads in length, and the weft allowing the entanglement, forms the interrelated frame or structure. This illustrates the interconnectedness, as in the same way, all elements of existence are interdependent. Just as each thread of a web depends on the others to maintain its integrity, every aspect shape and color is connected to the others through a network of relationships.
